Louisville Academy of Fine Arts prices are based off an 18 week semester. 

*Students will be automatically enrolled into the Spring Semester, unless otherwise notified.*

Private Audition Preparation Lesson 

1hr                 $60 

Ages 14 and up private lessons are not a replacement for a class. These lessons should follow a class, so that you are already warmed up, and a specific goal should be discussed with the director for the purpose of the private lesson. Examples are -Variations for auditions for summer intensives, YPAS, GSA, YAGP, colleges, etc. This will also include times for video recordings, and headshots, etc.

ADULT CLASSES – for private music lessons, visual art, and creative writing classes adults may sign up for the entire 18 weeks or choose to break it into 6 weeks. For dance classes you may purchase a Drop-In class card for 10 classes. Card will expire after one year of purchase. 

 

Drop-In Class Card = $180 (additional discounts do not apply to the cards) 

Single Class = $20/class

Fall 26' Spring 27' LAFA Dance Company

LAFA DANCE COMPANY PRICES AND REQUIREMENTS

​

  • APPRENTICE (open to LAFA Ballet Levels 6) By placement only.

    • $1300/semester (can be paid in & up to 5 payments of $260)

    • Dancers will be dancing a minimum of 9.00 hours/week which will include: 2 ballet classes + 1 elective + Saturday company class and rehearsal. 

    • Offered in the spring semester only, after taking the requirements in the fall semester of the same season.

  • JUNIOR (open to LAFA Ballet Levels 7 & 8) By placement only.

    • $1715/semester (can be paid in & up to 5 payments of $343)

    • Dancers will be dancing a minimum of 13.00 hours/week which will include: 2 ballet classes + 2 electives + Wednesday* & Saturday Company class and rehearsals.

    • The Wednesday Company classes can be counted as 1 of the ballet classes needed weekly.

    • Dancers can take an extra ballet class as an elective.

  • SENIOR (open to LAFA Ballet Levels 9 & 10) By placement only. 

    • $1935/semester (can be paid in & up to 5 payments of $387)

    • Dancers will be dancing a minimum of 16.00 hours/week which will include: 3 ballet classes + 2 electives + Monday, Wednesday* & Saturday Company class and rehearsals.

    • The Wednesday Company classes can be counted as 1 of the ballet classes needed weekly. 

    • Dancers can take an extra ballet class as an elective.

    • 15% off + 1st ballet class as an elective, 25% off + 2nd ballet class as an elective

DISCOUNTS – will not be applied while registering. Your balance will be adjusted by the office. 

*Family/Sibling discount 8% off 1st additional sibling total 

*Does not apply to adult lessons. 10% off 2nd additional sibling total

ANNUAL ONLINE REGISTRATION FEE (renewed every August)

Fall 26' Spring 27'Refund Policy 

Refund Policy 

​

These policies can also be found on your LAFA account, Family screen, under the Policies tab. This shows where you have signed off on them. 

​

  • Performance Production Packages – Opting out of a performance after the deadline forfeits 50% of total PPP.

  • It is understood that the student is registered for the entire semester and/or session, however, we do understand that life happens.

  • A full refund will be issued if the withdrawal of the student is prior to the first week of the applicable semester. 

  • No refunds will be made after the 9th week of the applicable Fall or Spring semester, and the 4th week of the Summer semester, unless due to medical reasons with documentation from a doctor. 

  • Rescheduling and/or the dropping of a class and refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case occurrence.

  • The registration fee is non-refundable.

  • If you sign up for a class/camp/lesson and decide to not show, or drop before the semester begins, you will still be charged the registration fee.

Performance Production Packages

Performance Production Packages - Dance & Music Only

Applicable Performance Production Packages will be automatically added to your LAFA account unless we are notified in writing by the appropriate withdrawal deadline.

  • PPP #1 – Dance Kaleidoscope

    • Modern, Jazz, Tap classes

    • Includes production fees, show poster, performance link, and costume rental.

    • $125 (withdrawal deadline 10/2/26)

  • PPP #2 – Nutcracker 

    • By audition only

    • Includes production fees, show poster, performance link, costume rental, and show t-shirt

    • $200 (withdrawal deadline 10/2/26)

    • Please note: LAFA Dance Company students, this fee is already included in your tuition.

  • PPP #3 – Storybook Ballet  

    • Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Teen Ballet, Ballet 1 – 10 classes

    • Includes production fees, show poster, performance link, costume purchase, and show t-shirt

    • $150 – CM, PB, B1 (withdrawal deadline 01/30/27)

    • $200 – B2 – B10 (withdrawal deadline 01/30/27)

    • Please note: LAFA Dance Company students, this fee is already included in your tuition.

  • PPP #4 – Music Recital

    • Private instrumental and voice students

    • Includes production fees.

    • $50 (withdrawal deadline 01/30/27)
