Parent Information

Hello LAFA parents and guardians! We have created this page to relay show information to you and your child, so please read thoroughly. To the left will be rehearsal information: when, who, and where, and below we will try to answer any questions we anticipate you may have. This page is NOT for company students, if you do not know what that means, your child is most likely not in the company.

Cinderella Performance Weekend

Thursday 5/12-Sunday 5/15, students will be dropped off at the Eifel Theater at Holy Trinity Clifton Campus at the back door entrance in the side parking lot. Children will be checked in at the double doors down the stairs and stay in the dressing room for the duration of the performance. At the end of the performance, or dress rehearsal, your child will need to be checked out at the double doors down stairs and may leave. For dress rehearsal on Thursday 5/12, students may leave after their dance is finished, however, we encourage them to stay and watch the performance from the front of the theater as it will be their only time to see the full show. Parents may not go back stage with their child unless they are a chaperone. Students must stay for the entire show Friday-Sunday so they can bow with their classmates.

  • DO NOT come and leave in costume. There will be time to change in the theater, although we do encourage students to come with tights and a leotard on under street clothes.

  • DO come with make-up and hair already done. Most students need a classical ballet bun with light stage makeup. This will help the chaperones being overwhelmed with kids' hair and makeup needs.

  • DO pack lots of activities, water, and snacks (to be eaten out of costume), there is a lot of downtime for the younger students so let's keep them occupied!

  • DO NOT take your child without checking out. We take the safety of the students very seriously and want to take account of each and everyone one of them, if they are going home with a different adult, let Ms. Julie know.

Cinderella is one of our biggest shows yet, and for everything to run smoothly we need parent volunteers to help manage our young performers. Note if you volunteer for this position you will be in charge of entertaining and watching a group of children, not just your own child. However! You will be able to watch backstage while your child's group is on stage which is always a special experience to see up close. A link will be posted soon for chaperone sign-ups.
